RTT vs Traditional Therapy: What's the Difference?

Both RTT and traditional therapy are valuable, and neither is "better" in every situation. They simply work in different ways and suit different needs. Here's an honest comparison so you can choose what's right for you.

Traditional talk therapy

Counselling and many forms of talk therapy give you a steady, ongoing space to process your life, usually over weekly sessions across months or years. The relationship with your therapist is central, and the pace is gentle. This can be wonderful for working through grief, trauma, or simply having consistent support over time.

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)

RTT is more focused and faster. Instead of talking around a problem each week, we use hypnosis to go straight to the root belief behind it, understand it, and change it. It blends hypnotherapy with techniques from CBT, psychotherapy and neuroscience. Most people come for a specific issue, feel a real shift in one session, and reinforce it with a personalised recording.

Which should you choose?

If you want long-term, open-ended support, traditional therapy may be the better fit. If you have a clear pattern you want to understand and shift, confidence, a relationship pattern, a career block, RTT can get you there remarkably fast. The two can also work beautifully alongside each other.
